HEAT REFLECT
HEAT REFLECT
Heat Reflect: cool-roof heat reflective paint for South African roofs
Rhinoluxe Heat Reflect is a white, heat-reflective cool-roof coating that reflects up to 95% of the sun's heat. By keeping the roof cooler it can lower indoor temperatures by 2-8 °C and cut cooling costs by 15-20%, while also protecting the roof as a durable, UV-resistant, waterproof coating. It is backed by a 10-year warranty.
Key Benefits
- Reflects up to 95% of heat. Keeps roofs and interiors cooler.
- Lower cooling costs. Can reduce indoor temperature 2-8 °C and cooling spend 15-20%.
- Waterproof and UV-resistant. Protects the roof as well as cooling it.
- Extends roof life. Reduces heat stress on the roof surface.
- 10-year warranty. Long-term performance.
Technical Overview
Heat Reflect is an acrylic cool-roof coating with a high solar-reflectance white finish. It reflects a large share of incoming solar radiation instead of letting the roof absorb it, which lowers roof-surface and indoor temperatures. The same film is waterproof and UV-stable, so it doubles as roof protection and reduces the thermal cycling that ages roofs.

Technical Guidance
Apply Heat Reflect to clean, sound commercial, residential or agricultural roofs, including asbestos roofs with proper surface preparation. Clear moss, dust and loose material first, prime where needed, and apply even coats for full reflective performance. Keep the white surface clean over time to maintain reflectivity.
SPREADING RATE
SPREADING RATE
3m² per 1 litre when applying as a 2-coat system. 60m² per 20 litre drum.
FILM THICKNESS
FILM THICKNESS
6-8 SQM per litre per coat. NOTE: Spreading rate can vary due to substrate porosity and substrate type. For uncoated new surfaces work on 3-4 sqm/1L for the first coat and 4-5 SQM/1L for subsequent coats and when applied to sealed or previously painted substrates.
