Technical Overview

This solvent-based primer carries resin deep into the pores of fresh or porous masonry, where it binds loose particles and forms an alkali-resistant barrier. That barrier stops the alkalinity of new plaster and cement from attacking the decorative coat, and it evens out porosity so the topcoat goes on uniformly and holds for longer.

Technical Guidance

Ensure the surface is clean, sound and dry, and allow new plaster to cure before priming. Apply an even coat so the primer penetrates and binds the surface, then let it dry before applying your wall topcoat. On very porous or chalky masonry, a bonding liquid may be used first.
