Technical Overview

This is a water-based anti-corrosive primer that wets and grips both mild steel and galvanised surfaces, where solvent primers can struggle on galv. It forms an adherent film that inhibits rust and gives the topcoat a sound, recoatable base, while keeping odour and solvent content low for indoor and coastal work.

Technical Guidance

Clean off loose rust, scale and grease, and make sure the steel is dry. Apply an even coat and let it dry before recoating with your undercoat or topcoat. On galvanised steel, a water-based primer like this keys better than most solvent primers. Clean tools with water immediately after use.
