Key Benefits
- Multi-surface. Works on wood, metal, primed metal, hardboard and fibre-cement board.
- High hiding power. Covers and evens out the surface for the topcoat.
- Enamel-to-water bridge. Lets you recoat old enamel with water-based paint.
- Smooth low-gloss base. Sands easily and grips the topcoat.
- Interior and exterior. One undercoat for inside and outside work.
Technical Overview
Universal Undercoat is an alkyd basecoat formulated for adhesion and opacity. It seals and unifies mixed or previously painted surfaces, providing a stable low-gloss film that both enamel and water-based topcoats bond to. Applied at around 30 microns, it builds an even foundation that improves the finish and durability of the decorative coat above.
