ZP4 ANTI RUST PRIMER
ZP4 ANTI RUST PRIMER
ZP4 Anti-Rust Primer: water-based rust-neutralising metal primer
Rhinoluxe ZP4 Anti-Rust Primer is a high-performance, pure-acrylic, water-based metal primer for industrial and domestic use. It neutralises existing surface rust and resists new rust forming, drying to a smooth, low-sheen finish with excellent adhesion. Low-odour and non-flammable, it arrests corrosion on contact on properly prepared metal.
Key Benefits
- Rust neutraliser. Arrests corrosion and neutralises existing surface rust.
- Corrosion resistant. A stable protective layer that resists new rust.
- Superior adhesion. Excellent grip and recoat properties.
- Quick drying. Surface dry in about 1 hour.
- Low odour, non-flammable. Water-based and suitable for occupied areas.
Technical Overview
ZP4 is a pure-acrylic, water-based anti-rust primer that both passivates existing surface rust and blocks new corrosion. It bonds to new and weathered ferrous metal, forming a smooth low-sheen film with strong adhesion and easy recoating. Because it is water-based, it is low-odour and non-flammable, so it suits interior and occupied-area work as well as exterior steel.

Technical Guidance
Remove all loose rust and scale with a wire brush, and stir the primer well before use. Do not dilute, as thinning reduces corrosion resistance. Apply only between 10 °C and 35 °C, and not if rain is expected within 4-6 hours. Clean tools with water immediately after use.

Questions & Answers
Have a Question?
-
How much does ZP4 cover?
About 7-9 m² per litre per coat, depending on the surface.
-
Should I dilute ZP4?
No, use it as supplied; thinning reduces its corrosion resistance.
-
Can I use ZP4 on weathered metal?
Yes, it suits both new and weathered ferrous metal once loose rust and scale are removed.
-
Is ZP4 water-based?
Yes, it is a pure-acrylic water-based primer, low-odour and non-flammable.
-
Does ZP4 neutralise existing rust?
Yes, ZP4 arrests corrosion and neutralises existing surface rust on properly prepared metal.
