Surface preparation — non-negotiable
SA outdoor concrete fails fast if not prepped properly. Both painting and sealing require:
- Pressure-wash to remove dirt, moss, algae, old efflorescence
- Repair cracks and chips with a concrete patching compound
- Let dry fully — minimum 48 hours of dry weather, longer in winter
- Etch if previously sealed — old sealer must come off or it blocks bonding
- Prime if painting — Clear Bonding Liquid for porous concrete
Concrete Enamel application
Apply two coats with a foam roller or brush. Allow full recoat time between coats per TDS. For anti-slip on pool surrounds or steps, mix in an anti-slip additive on the final coat.
Stone Sealer application

- Coastal (salt air): Stone Sealer with a UV-resistant grade; reapply every 18–24 months on sun-exposed surfaces
